More Thoughts from the Parish Committee
I love this graphic. It applies equally to the concrete and the abstract, whether it be adopting new ways to be healthy, like exercising or eating well; being as generous as you'd like to be in the face of uncertainty; or allowing for the possibility of a radical change in your thinking, or your life - or your church life.

Wishing us all the blessings of magic and the courage to get inside the circle. Melinda Collins, On behalf of the Parish Committee

Farm Share Fresh Food Opportunity
with Temple Shalom
Temple Shalom has informed us that a nearby farm, Hilltop in Westport, MA, has a program to deliver 20 weeks of fresh produce to us here in Milton.
They will do this if a minimum of 10 families to buy farm shares.
NOTE - food will be delivered here to one agreed upon location. We will NOT have to go to the farm for pick up!
What's even better is that for every 10 farm shares purchased, the farm will add in one more for us to donate to the charity of our choice. Temple Shalom already has 7 families interested and we hope to get at least 3 more to make this happen. If you are interested in eating lots of delicious farm fresh vegies this summer, contact the Temple Shalom office at Office@TempleShalomOnLine.org or call 617-698-3394.

Once Upon a Time…
Up until the Civil War, town taxes were collected for the support of our church and Town Meeting was held in our Meetinghouse (hence the name). If you love history, come join an ad hoc group pursuing how First Parish might showcase our unique role in Milton's history for the Milton 350 Celebration in June. We are considering a presentation or open house that offers the history lesson currently available to Milton 5th graders, as well as Erik's video of last year, copies of our charter from the Legislature and other ideas. THIS WILL NOT BE A BIG TIME COMMITMENT but would benefit from the enthusiasm and ideas of history lovers!
If you have any interest in helping with this, please email Judith Darrell Kemp at tomnjude@comcast.net or Mallory Digges at malfd@aol.com.
Community & Parish Funds
To provide awareness among First Parish Milton of the work of our Community & Parish Funds, the Social Action Committee is collaborating with the FP Milton Social Worker to publish quarterly articles highlighting the growth and impact of these funds and opportunities to support the work of our Social Worker within the Milton community.
FP’s Holiday Gift Program:
Uniting Milton to bring Holiday Cheer
by Heather Ivone and
Diane Ferrari
The call came into the office of First Parish’s Milton Residents Fund on a Tuesday in mid-December. A grandmother with guardianship of 5 grandchildren did not know how she was going to give her grandchildren a Christmas morning. She just did not have the resources to provide them with gifts this year. A day later, neatly wrapped and waiting to be picked up, were 25 gifts lovingly donated by participants in the Milton Residents Fund’s Holiday Gift Program ready to be delivered to the grandchildren. This is just one example of the impact this First Parish program has been making in the community of Milton for over 20 years.
